Brick Hall, Municipal Gallery,
Nagasaki, Japan.

By covering the walls of the circular shaped gallery, with international language newspapers, which gradually disintegrate into ashes, into a traditional Japannese ‘kebashi’ and turning the floor space into a gigantic clock, Bernardo comments on the ever-present possibility for change and the impermanence of our existence.

This project was made possible by John and Paula McAndrew and their colleagues at Siebold University of Nagasaki and Nagasaki University.
